Facilities
Reception and Waiting Area
Reception desks are open all day for enquiries, purchases, etc. and all our surgeries have a comfortable waiting area, complete with products on sale, lots of advice leaflets and notices. If there is a food or product that you are looking for which we do not stock, please ask as we can probably order it in for you, often by the next day.
Please check in with the receptionist when you arrive for your appointment.
Consultation Rooms
The Veterinary Consultation rooms are equipped with everything necessary for everyday routine examinations etc. Cobham and Kingston both have a second consultation room available for Nurse’s consultations etc.
Operating Theatres
Our operating theatres are equipped with modern anaesthetic machines, using the safest human-equivalent grade anaesthetics for the safety of your pet. We are able to perform procedures from the simplest stitch-ups through to more complex exploratory operations etc., including neutering of dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, etc.
Radiography
All of our surgeries have their own modern x-ray and processing facilities on site. X-ray can be used to detect broken bones, lameness problems such as hip dysplasia, chest abnormalities and abdominal problems, etc. Chas the Labrador was found to have swallowed several golf balls which had to be removed from his stomach!
Dental Unit
Each surgery is equipped with ultra-sonic dental descaling equipment. Dental treatment is very important, because through constantly swallowing bacteria from decayed or dirty teeth your pet could develop more serious internal problems, including organ failure. Poor dental hygiene can make life unpleasant for both the pet and the owner!
On-site Laboratory
Each surgery has its own laboratory with equipment including a blood analysis machine, with which we are able to obtain vital information on a pet’s condition within about 10 minutes.
We also use the excellent services of an outside laboratory for more complex tests, and because of their daily courier and on-line reporting service we can usually obtain results within 12-24 hours.
Hospitalisation Kennels
We have kennels and cages in various sizes to suit the smallest hamster up to a Great Dane, should your pet need to have a stay in hospital. We understand how precious your pets are to you, and will make their stay in hospital as comfortable as possible. We use comfortable Vet-beds which help to keep the animals warm and dry, and you are welcome to bring in their favourite blanket etc. if you feel it will make your pet feel more at home.
